Minor Injury and Illness Centre

at Eight Mile Plains Satellite Hospital

The Minor Injury and Illness Clinic provides free walk-in urgent care for non-life threatening injuries and illnesses. 

  • Walk-in, no appointments necessary 
  • Free for Medicare card holders 
  • Open 8 am–10 pm, 7 days a week 
  • Free car parking. 

The clinic is run by a team of doctors, nurses and allied health professionals experienced in treating urgent medical needs. They can assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of minor injuries and illnesses in adults, teenagers and children (over three months old). 

The Minor Injury and Illness Clinic is not an emergency department. The safest and fastest way to access help in an emergency is to call Triple Zero (000) or go to the nearest Emergency department.  

The Minor Injury and Illness Clinic do not provide acute mental health services. The Metro South community can access local mental health services for information and assistance in times of mental health crisis 24 hours a day via Ph: 1300 MH CALL (1300 64 22 55).   • Fever, coughs and cold 
  • Earache 
  • Infections and rashes 
  • Minor eye issues 
  • Minor cuts 
  • Broken bones 
  • Minor head injuries 
  • Minor burns and scalds.

  • Chest pain 
  • Difficulty breathing 
  • Decreased consciousness 
  • Sudden severe headache 
  • Severe abdominal pain 
  • Severe burns 
  • Pregnancy complications 
  • Severely ill children.
