Planning and construction is underway for car parking options ahead of the $465 million major expansion of QEII Hospital which will deliver 112 more beds in a new five level clinical services building set to commence in late 2024.
We’re excited to be building a new multi-level car park at QEII Jubilee Hospital which will deliver 1,379 car parks to provide easier and more secure parking for patients, visitors and staff.
The multi-level car park is a $127.44 million investment by the Queensland Government ahead of the QEII Hospital Expansion. The car park will be built on the north-west corner of the hospital campus – along the Kessels Road side – with easy access to the hospital buildings.
The multi-level car park will significantly boost car parking capacity to support the expanded services that will be delivered over the coming years at QEII Hospital.
Built Qld Pty Ltd has been engaged to deliver the new clinical services building, offset car parking and multi-level car park.
The car park will be owned and operated by the Queensland Government, not a private operator.
Car parking fees and concessions will be finalised in the lead up to the opening of the multi-level car park.

We have been working hard on alternate car parking plans – to be delivered early – ahead of the Expansion project.
Construction is underway on offset car parking to maintain access to the hospital while the multi-level car park and new clinical services building are constructed.
Two new offset car parks (see site plan below) include:
Car Park 2 [P2] – An open-air bitumen car park on the western side of the QEII Hospital campus.
Car Park 4 [P4] – An open-air temporary car park on leased land adjacent to the hospital Ambulance entry on Troughton Road.
In total, the new offset car parking will provide 550 spaces for the exclusive use of patients, staff, volunteers and visitors to offset the current parking demand.
We are underway with car park 2 due for completion mid-late 2024.
Car park 4 is due late 2024.
