The first major milestone of Logan Hospital's $460 million Stage 1 Expansion Project – our new Transit Care Hub and Acute Care @ Home Service – is planned to officially open on 19 June 2023.
The new Transit Care Hub will help increase the capacity of the hospital, to help manage demand for healthcare services in one of the fastest growing regions in the state. With more space and a contemporary design, the new facilities will also create a better experience for our patients and their families.
Combining the services of the current Day of Discharge Unit (DDU) and Transit Care Hub, the new facility will provide a dedicated space for discharges, transfers, planned admissions and patients awaiting transport.
